SkillsFuture: Mid-Career Top Up: Guide
In February 2024, the Singapore Government, in its budget speech unveiled the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme, emphasising continuous skills upgrading and lifelong learning to support mid-career Singaporean workers in enhancing their career pathways and staying competitive.
Starting 1 May 2024, the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000, which does not expire, can further reduce net course fees for selected programs that offer improved employability outcomes.
Beginning in Academic Year 2025, Singaporeans will also be eligible for the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy for an additional publicly-funded full-time diploma. This includes options from ITE (Technical/Technical Engineering Diploma), Polytechnics (via Direct Admissions Exercise), and Arts Institutions.
These measures are in addition to the existing Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES), which provides up to 90% funding for courses supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
All Singaporeans aged 40 and above will be given a $4,000 top-up of SkillsFuture credits in May 2024 to encourage mid-career workers to refresh their skills and progress in their careers.
With over 7,000 courses to choose from, the SkillsFuture Mid-Career program offers a wide range of options. CCCS ILI provides access to 8 of these courses, empowering you to enhance your skills and advance your career.
